Why RackMoth

Network support that actually shows up.

Same-day on-site response

When your network is down, you need someone there now. We dispatch an engineer to your Austin location within hours of your call — not days later.

Fixed-rate projects

No hourly billing anxiety. We scope the work, agree on a price, and deliver. If something changes, you hear about it before we act — never a surprise invoice at the end.

Real Austin engineers

You get a person who lives in Austin and knows the local business landscape — not a remote call center reading a script. When you call, an engineer picks up.

Managed Infrastructure

End-to-end network design, deployment, and monitoring. Structured cabling, switching and routing, WiFi that covers every corner, and proactive maintenance so problems get caught before anyone notices.

Cloud Migration

Move your workloads to AWS, Azure, or a hybrid setup without the gotchas. Email and productivity migration to Office 365 or Google Workspace, data migration with integrity checks, and post-move support that sticks around.

How we work

Three steps from problem to solution.

Straightforward, no-nonsense process. We come from infrastructure engineering backgrounds, not sales floors.

01

Audit

We start by understanding what you have — not what a sales script assumes you have. Walk-through of your current setup, pain points, and what you actually need (versus what a vendor wants to sell you). You get a plain-English report with clear recommendations.

02

Implement

We do the work during your off-hours when possible — evenings, weekends, whatever causes the least disruption. Every change is documented, every cable is labeled, every credential is handed over. You own your infrastructure; we just make it work.

03

Monitor

After deployment, we stay on. Proactive monitoring catches issues before they become outages. Firmware updates happen on schedule. Capacity planning keeps you ahead of growth. And when something does go wrong, the same engineer who built it fixes it.

Common questions

You ask. We answer plainly.

No jargon dumps. No upsells disguised as answers.

How fast can you get someone on-site in Austin?

Same day for most calls received before 2 PM. For critical outages — network down, server offline, internet dead — we aim to have an engineer on-site within 2–4 hours across the Austin metro area. We cover central Austin, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Pflugerville, and everything in between.

What does "fixed-rate" actually mean?

It means we quote a project price before work begins, and that's what you pay. Not an estimate, not a guess — a fixed number. If the scope changes during the project (and sometimes it does), we discuss it with you and agree on any adjustment before proceeding. No line items you didn't approve.

Do you do break-fix or only managed contracts?

Both. We have clients on monthly managed plans where we handle everything proactively, and we also do project-based work — a one-time network setup, a WiFi deployment, a server migration. If you just need something fixed right now, call us. We won't force you into a contract.

How do you handle security?

Security is part of every engagement, not a separate line item. We follow least-privilege principles for access, enforce encrypted channels for remote work, keep firmware patched, segment networks properly, and document everything. We can also coordinate with compliance requirements like SOC 2, HIPAA, or PCI if those apply to your business.

How long does a cloud migration take?

Depends on what's moving. An email migration for a 20-person office might take a weekend. A full server lift-and-shift with database migration could take 2–4 weeks of planning plus a cutover window. We'll give you a realistic timeline during the audit phase — not the optimistic one, the realistic one.

What kind of businesses do you work with?

Mostly Austin-based small and mid-size businesses — 10 to 200 employees. Law firms, medical practices, architecture studios, marketing agencies, manufacturing shops, nonprofits. Anywhere that depends on a network to get work done but doesn't have (or want) a full-time IT department.

Your network shouldn't be a mystery.

Tell us what's going on. We'll tell you what needs to happen — in plain English, with a fixed price.
